ABOUT US

Rowan Baptist Church organized in 1749 as Great Cohera General Baptist Church, by Reverend Edward Brown. Brown was the first minister, and served from 1749-1783. Rowan was known to be the first Baptist Church between Smithfield and Wilmington, NC.
